My career path at Loomis
I took the position of clerical assistant in September 1994 working in imports and exports, as well as planning our drivers’ transportation schedules. I was soon helping out with transports on a regular basis and learned the strategic as well as the practical aspects of this business. I specialized to an increasing degree on international business and became the deputy of the person in charge of this division. Due to my extensive experience, I was promoted to Deputy Branch Manager in March 2007. Eight months later, I became the Branch Manager responsible for the Basel branch. In 2010, I was given the opportunity to support the Regional Manager in various projects. I jumped at the chance to complete this incredibly exciting and varied task. Since then, I have been working as the Assistant to the Regional Manager and can bring my ideas and innovation into the business as never before. I am at the right place here.
Anecdote from the workplace
I’ve worked several times on Loomis projects for the jewelry trade fair in Bahrain, both at home and abroad. I met my wife at one these trade fairs – we now have two children and remain very happily married. That’s a success story, in my view!
